Product Owner
A Product Owner decides what value the team should chase and in what order. You own the Product Backlog, the hard trade-offs when time and risk collide, and the learning that changes those bets. You are not a ticket clerk for every stakeholder request, and you are not a proxy for an absent sponsor.

What this job is responsible for
- Product vision and outcome measures (often OKRs), stated so a stranger could repeat them
- An ordered Product Backlog and clear Sprint Goals that protect focus
- Stakeholder trade-offs using a published method (MoSCoW, RICE, WSJF or Now/Next/Later)
- Acceptance criteria, and a shared Definition of Done with the team and testers
- Evidence from discovery, analytics and support signals next to every material bet
- Saying no (or not yet) with a clear reason, and logging the decision
Signs things are going well
- Backlog items describe user outcomes, not just tasks or system changes
- Sprint Goals are easy to remember and survive mid-Sprint noise
- Stakeholders know which prioritisation method you use and can challenge the inputs
- Learning from research and live metrics visibly changes the order of work
- RAID items that affect value show up early, with owners and dates
- Reviews include real users or informed proxies, not only the delivery team
